Robert Smith Waters is a young and dynamic Architect and designer based in San Francisco, CA. He has been recognized for his modern and creative designs ranging from graphic design to furniture and architecture.

He holds a Masters of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture and a Bachelors of Science of Architecture from The Ohio State University. Robert has been working in San Francisco California for 8 years and specializes in High-End Residential, Commercial, and Institutional projects.

“A guiding philosophy that carries me through my design work is one which is founded on the idea of being a part of a place and on the livability of the architecture in that environment. I have a real desire to make my designs integrated within a place, as opposed to sitting upon one and consuming a particular view or landscape. It is very much about community, responsiveness, quality, and building something that is morally understandable and justifiable. Within that I like to design spaces that are hard to classify as one particular thing, but a living environment that operates in many different ways. A minimal approach with bespoke details that celebrate craft, material, and the natural environment all in an authentic and sustainable manner.”
